Josephine was born and raised in Taormina – a jewel of a town on Sicily’s Eastern coast. After graduating from The University of Catania, she became a journalist for La Sicilia, a local newspaper, covering hard news and entertainment. After her Doctorate Degree in Humanities earned at the University of Catania, a scholarship made it possible for her to pursue the American Dream.

 

In 2006, Josephine came to the United States to begin her Master’s Degree in Journalism at The University of South Florida. After earning her degree, Josephine threw herself into the world of corporate American Marketing & PR, sharpening her skills at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts as their Community Relations Coordinator.

 

She has since worked in Marketing, Sales, PR and Hotel Management for corporations such as Hilton, Marriott and the local tourist board, Visit Tampa Bay, all the while continuing to grow her own business and creating successful marketing campaigns and brand launching events. She is a member of the Tampa Bay Business Traveler Association, The Global Business Travel Association, and The Italian Order of Journalists and Publicists (Giornalisti Pubblicisti Italiani).

 

Her career and love of exploring other cultures has taken her all over the world, inspiring her to found The Golden Quill.
